Bismillah: Launching Daoud’s Blog

Salaam everyone,

I bought daoud.blog about a year ago and then let it gather digital dust—waiting for the “perfect day,” the “perfect design,” the “perfect first post.” Perfectionism is a polite form of procrastination.

Today I’m hitting publish and choosing to learn in public. A dash of AI helped me break the inertia; the final voice is mine, edited line-by-line until it felt honest.

Why write?

  • To remind myself first. Writing forces me to slow down and think about Qur’an, work, and fatherhood.
  • To share wins and stumbles. Four ventures, 300+ events, 200+ startups later—I’m still learning every week.
  • To build a community that changes itself—and the world. Ideas gain power when we test them together, not alone behind a screen.

What to expect here

  • Short reflections on the tug-of-war between dunya and ākhirah.
  • Practical lessons on company-building, community design, and time stewardship through an Islamic lens.
  • Geeky tool experiments from my data-center days to today’s founder life.
  • Subscriber-only invites to round-tables, workshops, and actionable resources.

Stay in touch

Leave a comment or grab a quick call via the Talk With Me page.

If any of this resonates, join the list (Arabic, English, or both) and get fresh posts every couple of weeks.

May our words witness for us, not against us, and benefit everyone who reads them.

Ready? Let’s begin this journey—imperfect, in progress, and, inshā’Allah, impactful.
